Welcome to Southeast Paddlers, a flatwater canoe and kayak club located in Gainesville, Georgia.

What's this sport really all about? Learn more in this article by Leo Llonch. He colorfully and clearly captures the qualities that draw people to canoe and kayak paddling.

To give you a sense of just how diverse this sport is and put it into a worldwide context, Dana Richardson describes participation in the World Masters Games which took place July 22-31, 2005 in and around Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

As a new and growing club, we invite you to join us and see for yourself what this is all about. You can contact us through this web site or better yet, join us on Saturday mornings at Sardis Creek Park on Lake Lanier. We usually gather around 8:00am. We welcome paddlers of all ages and categories of paddling from recreational to sprint racing and marathon. Even if you're a wanna-be paddler we would love to share all the benefits of this great sport. So bring a boat if you have one. If not, the only thing you need to bring is a smiling face and we'll bring the boats and open arms.
